Trade it in to whatever major manufacturer acquires the Tesla brand at fire sale prices and get yourself a new car.

Raise prices all year then offer a Discount, what marketing genius! Anyway, no one should be giving this madman any money. Wait and buy something non-Tesla.

Tesla still has a ridiculous P/E ratio. It’s becoming more clear that it will never be more than just an automaker (no revolutionary autonomous tech). It should lose another 70%.

Literally every form of propulsion in air travel shares the “You can’t just pull over and fix it” constraint. That said, reduced range is easy to measure and calculate for an EV, but it won’t suffer from carburetor freezing, finicky oil pressure, fouled fuel injectors, water in the fuel, etc, etc, etc.....

The pressure side is a problem too. To store hydrogen as a gas, it has to be at a lot of pressure. For a liquid it has to be cold as hell and also under pressure. LH2 tanks have to be thick and heavy OR have very limited numbers of use before they have to be discarded. Even so, Hydrogen is really bad about leaking

Terms and conditions for FSD are amazing.

It’s even been several years since Musk said people who don’t buy Teslas now are stupid because they’re missing out on being able to rent out their cars as driverless Uber-like rentals while they’re at work or at home.

Tesla had a 10 year lead on everybody, and in the course of the pandemic, everyone caught up.

I can’t see how any auto maker would pay to advertise on a platform owned by a competitor. Besides, the only people on twitter are millionaires, billionaires, and politicians and the journalists and fanboys that follow them.

Good for her, happy she is in a better place in her life.

I read it as selling ‘nothing but $70 000 cars’ - as in they can’t survive if they’re only selling expensive niche vehicles to a very small percentage of the market.

Heh. “CyberTruck “

As soon as Tesla built the factory in China, was there really anyone who truly believed they wouldn’t eventually be exporting those cars to the US?

Right. Musk has never lied before so we can totally take his word for it.

never ever ever ever. there is not, nor will there ever be an economic business case for these.

Door-to-door, supersonic planes are not much faster. Will the cars on the freeway make way for you? Will TSA let you through faster? Will the airline waive the 2-3 hours in advance arrival? Will your luggage arrive faster?

What’s the point of superfast planes when so much time is wasted going from/to the airport and through all the security theatre and the bizarro long boarding times and then the even more annoying taxi times?

Parking isn’t any faster, TSA isn’t any faster, baggage isn’t any faster, waiting in line on the runway isn’t any faster. From door-to-door, going supersonic isn’t that great an improvement.

What happened? Simple, money.

The part of this I’ve never understood, was why hasn’t Musk from the beginning simply said, “As we work to eventually bring a true hands-free driving experience, we’ll continue to offer the most advanced automated features of any car maker”.

How difficult would that be to say?
