I think it would be very difficult to pull King off unless they were to dive into the other books/characters. The Force Awakens should have had new ships (and not just a splash of orange paint). But it doesn’t quite make sense for this one to have totally new ships does it? Everything should feel like same gen as A New Hope...so a hybrid does kinda make sense.

Yeah the shoe thing really slows things down, cause most people just assume you still take them off now, even though many don’t require it. While an idiot can hold up the line forever (almost missed a flight due to some dude and his wife packing his entire medicine cabinet of essential oils and liquids), I think the different rules at different airports is the biggest issue for crowd control.
