Black people face disproportionate violence because they disproportionately engage in violent crimes from a young age.   We all have eyes, ears and memories of experiencing this firsthand and have the statistics to back it up.

I’m reading Biden is going to re-instate the individual insurance mandate penalty via executive order. That’ll be great news for people who can barely afford to keep a roof over their heads. Now they’ll also have to pay a penalty for not having health insurance they can’t afford.

They will also need to explain how that same person is supposed to be able to pay for medical expenses up to the deductible as well. Those plans won’t pay for shit until you hit a 2K+ deductible and I don’t know anyone who is struggling to pay rent (or even people who are not) who has that kind of money.

Somebody smarter than me will have to explain how a person who is already struggling to pay for rent and groceries will find additional money to pay for health insurance premiums.
