You’re mostly right but you’re not actually right about the censorship terminology. Changing a work, even your own, because of objection, negative reaction, negative association or a fear of those things is censorship. If it’s your own work it’s self censorship.

Yes thank you for this comment. So many are just harassing people for saying something that isn’t politically correct and it is getting out of hand.

I totally 100% agree, but I’m starting to see a trend. I’m worried that this type of action will just keep pushing the 2 sides further apart. I’m worried that instead of helping him see why this is problematic for a business he will instead just be further supported and propped up by people that support his viewpoint

I agree, but if everybody starts to get tons of shit everytime they say something controversial, we are going to end up in a society where nobody says what they are thinking, where there is only one way to think.

Pretty stupid reason to erase work somebody did. I mean, it’s their place to do so but one doesn’t have to do with the other. You can disagree with or even hate somebody and still work with them or include their work, especially when it isn’t a work related problem you have with them.

You know, other software developers are able to make games without using those games to leverage hardware sales as well. Basically you’re calling people miserable human beings for not buying into a closed platform. It’s like getting angry over someone buying an EBook from Amazon but reading it on a nonAmazon device.

I’m not paying $360 to play one game.

You know, you’re the only one who sounds like an asshole here.

Seriously guys, if you are playing it on the emu, you are both denying sales on a system on its way out and the potential of a system on its way in.

And if you buy a Wii U and botw used at a game store you get the same package and poor Nintendo loses all the profits. Buying/selling games and systems used takes away manufacturer profit (most of the time) the same as a pirate acquiring a product without direct payment to the company. Does that make gamers that sell

I already pirated the game. I’m waiting for the emulator technology to be ready, and then I’m gonna stream the hell outta this and monetize videos of it on YouTube.

My argument here is that they’re getting something for nothing, which is not the deal Nintendo agreed to.

I did not say they were the same thing, I said that laptops offer portability.

Fuck off. I bought the game and I’d do this just to have it not run like shit.

One of your arguments are that emulators are not portable. They in fact are, and while laptops may not be as as portable as a switch they nonetheless are portable.

Console exclusive games are kinda for the sake of the manufacturer though... it means if you want to play a game, you have to buy their hardware, use their ecosystem, and pay for their online service to get the most out of the experience. I mean, I totally understand why they do it, but I’m not sure I would say it

Its running 30fps at 4K for me which is superior to what I can get officially (sub 30fps at 720p/1080p on Switch or ~20fps on Wii U)

If this runs well enough on pc, I’ll definitely run out and pay for a copy of the game and immediately download it. Not at all interested in limited or unproven hardware. This is a nice work around and will hopefully send a clear message that console exclusives are a poor strategy.

Actually provided you have the hardware for it you can render it at 4k with further draw distance and at 60 fps. Which would make it a way better version than the switch to play.

So I see you haven’t kicked the habit of digging through the comment history of every single person you disagree with just to find something irrelevant to insult them about. It’s creepy, vicious, and pointlessly antagonistic. I’d prefer if you didn’t do it anymore, but since it’s within your rights to be a vindictive
