Sorry, but staying home is definitely a major contributor to the voting results - whether it be the 2010 midterms or the 2016 Trump fiasco. The percentage of people that get out to the polls is abysmal and could easily overwhelm whatever gerrymandering was in place should people actually get off their asses.

Desperate people are forced to do desperate things when the legal means is being blocked off by this administration.
