Doesn’t he sound nice. There’s around 30% or so of Americans that just don’t understand that America is unique in large part due to immigrants. We are NOT unique in having a bunch back ass idiots tho.

I know he looks like a turtle, and goodness knows he acts like an evolutionary fossil, but turtles are awesome. Him, not so much.

I know there are good people, makes people, etc, but from paying attn and observing, I see more bad than good. :( huge turnoff for me, certainly.

I think they used to exist, but Newt killed the last of them off back in the 90s.

What’s especially cute is that after the courts got involved they were all “this is vital, enemies stream across our open borders...” blah blah, and yet it’s taken all this time to revamp the EO. It’s almost like they’re not serious about the terror part.

Read up about him, about his Senate career, his early brush with disaster in the savings and loan thing, his absolute loathing for democrats. Even back before he was captured, he was a... not nice person, based on anecdotal info. Also, 2 words : Sarah Palin.

There are a number of “moderate” repubs, almost all of whom manage to overcome their distaste of oligarchy to vote in lockstep with the rest. He’s just one of them. None of them are worth a damn, because they’ve done nothing to stop their crazier brethren.

I’m aware. But also, for both Education and the EPA, the goal is to make those entities go away completely. I think there has already been a bill introduced to dissolve the education dept.

That’s awesome. I really hope that we pay more attn collectively from now on. I have periodic chats with the local library director about right wing books untethered from truth too. Libraries are one of the great things in the world, they can’t be tarnished.

I truly believe most of us are decent, but some days, traveling around red towns, it’s hard to hold onto that. I’m glad to hear some folks are seeing the light. There’s no shame in admitting a mistake, but there is shame in letting your country down.

The trick is an education grounded in truth. Which is exactly why the right wing extremists have been rewriting our history and science textbooks.
