Best guess is that if there are international tensions, the govt will be too busy to worry about the ass in the oval office being, at best, a puppet, or at worst, a traitor. Or both. Putin’s gone to all this trouble to run the executive branch, he wants that to last longer than a month, yeah?

This can be easily substantiated by reviewing the changes in the repub party platform last summer. Someone in the trump campaign forced a change about Russia and the Ukraine (iirc). And then when it was noticed, nobody owned up to the change. It should have been clear then, but hey, had to keep things close and…

This tells me more about the fantasies of repressed republicans than I needed to know. You’d think, being good Christians and all, that they’d not leap to the conclusion that perversion is universal.

That’s certainly their hope, and it’s so weird, really, because they know damn all about actual governance.

Trump is a Russian pawn. We’ve known that since the convention last summer when the repub platform was changed to favor Russia. But since the change wasn’t facilitated via email, apparently it was NBD.

Given how close that Russian ship came to our coast, I’d say everybody in the world in emboldened by the knowledge that repubs have all the power right now. They’re weak and don’t care about the USA. Open season.

I don’t call them conservatives anymore, they’re extremists. And the reason they believe stupid things is because they ingest a steady diet of Fox not-news and nutty extremist websites. their votes and their very thoughts are based upon lies.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but, Mrs than 4 wks in (!), I think the repubs will wait too long to take action. They have such tunnel-vision and hubris, they won’t see what a normal person sees. Bad times.

I was using fine in reference to looks, as in “he’s fine.” It wasn’t anything more than that. I’ve been working on a project and checking jezebel has been my break/recreation. I’ve not spent much time with gorillas, but they’ve impressed me, looks and comportment both.

I know, right? & he tried to save face by saying his question was rhetorical, which made him sound even stupider. More& more I’m thinking certain ttypes -call them repubs- go into politics for the wrong reasons.

Ditto. I’m far more comfortable with most (non-human) creatures than with people. I’ve turned that into a positive, too, I spend time photographing them & observing behaviors, it’s humbling and cool. :-)
