I think an important caveat is that calorie counting is probably better than nothing, but may not be accurate. Keeping track of what your eating and being aware is better than just eating everything willy nilly, especially if you’re trying to lose weight.

right?? I mean, I think that fermented/ alcoholic beverages have been found in cultures as old as thousands of years BC (6-7 thousand). My assumption is that people just made it, drank it, and ten maaaaybe after prohibition in the U.S. (because that was a moral thing right?? don’t quote me on this lol) we started

When I was diagnosed with a panic disorder I was prescribed benzodiazepines three times per day, with a plethora of other medications. I was constantly drowsy, completely spaced out, unable to focus, immensely forgetful, I was basically just a body that existed. I also was in the bathroom multiple times a day because

I mean that’s absurd. I can’t wait for it to be legal for this EXACT REASON. Then they’ll hopefully just throw MJ off the list of Utox screens. Especially because we don’t know enough about it to know like, whether ingesting weeks ago will have any kind of effect on your performance!

Right? My employer drug tests randomly and you can have something like .04 BAC and just be sent home for the day without pay, where a positive marijuana test would just get you fired even if it’d been weeks since you smoked.

part of the problem with this question is that while it’s still classified the way it is, we can’t do research to support or throw out hypotheses about the level of intoxication as it relates to something like corporate or work policy. For instance, if you’re an anxious person on a daily benzo, you might function just

Do you use tylenol when you have a headache? Even at work?

I live in a state where marijuana is completely illegal, and I doubt it will be legalized anytime soon. If I could be prescribed it? I’d be pretty happy with it. As it stands because of the profession I am going into I cannot be caught with it AT ALL. It will make having a career impossible. So, I’m very very careful

I smoke very very infrequently during the day, because weed makes me focus quite intensely and get sort of emotionally invested in a way that doesn’t fit well with what this job requires, which is being prepared for surprises and managing a lot of things at once. But editing long things at night or on weekends,

No, it’s pretty agreed upon that you shouldn’t be getting high during work, just like you have to wait until after work to start drinking. There are exceptions - for example, if you’re a freelance writer who writes intoxicated and edits sober, or are an artist in a studio - but for the most part there’s a pretty

This is one of the problems with prohibition. Under prohibition, there’s a lot of general misinformation/misunderstanding about what weed is and does, which is compounded by the fact that even the people who smoke may not know for sure what exactly they’re getting. Based on what Jia describes of her experience with

A lot of people are on pharmaceutical medications throughout the day, and no one asks this. For example, I have ADHD so I take a stimulant. No one asks if it’s okay to intoxicate myself during the day, and when I graduate I will be taking it during work. Because that’s what it’s for. Anxiety and depression are a

I’d say no, for most jobs. Nicotine and caffeine are very mild uppers (compared to other uppers), and that’s about it. They might amp up the nerves and aggression a little, but it doesn’t put you in a materially altered state, as we understand that societally, and are probably net-net often good for work.

Personally (and I’m a CPA) I can smoke certain strains and be more productive and engaged. Not that I make a habit out of it but it’s very different than getting drunk.

Oh geez :P Yeah, that’s an example of someone going way overboard and lying. Find skills you forgot to list, but don’t lie!

Are you making a point about there being too many bag suggestions?

Ways Hillary is like my Oma: I love her, but I’d rather have Bernie in the White House.

As a Mexican-American, the pandering is insulting and super cringe-inducing.
