Well I think we have to be very honest with ourselves that an all star game with all mls players would be incredibly boring for most people. Most casual fans can't even name enough players for one squad let alone two.

There's a very strong case to be made here for the MLS all star game being the best of the "big 4(+1)" sports leagues' all star games. As a major sports fan and quadrennial soccer fan, I was legitimately looking forward to this game because of its unique nature. However I missed it because...soccer.
