You did not grow up in an opthamologist's household apparently. Actually, neither did I, but doctors keep all sorts of weird things related to their jobs around the house. Abuse-gimps though? Out of place anywhere.

Wynn Duffy, no stranger to sadistic behavior himself, doesn't want to know either.

He has a guy tied to a bed exclusively for the purpose of abusing him.  Is the decor really the thing that leaps out as creepy about that house?

While I liked Quarles's reaction and read of the whole situation, it made me wonder how much of Raylan and Boyd's shared history is known.  Maybe Wynn Duffy wouldn't know, but someone in Quarles operation, whoever was running his oxy-trailer in Harlan, should have been able to say that Boyd has an odd connection to

He snapped too as if he was merely embarrassed that he was caught rehashing an old argument out loud.  Not that he couldn't be going senile, but I imagine that actual senility wouldn't have him acting like he had just been caught jacking off.

"The reemergence of the evidence locker money brings back a subplot that
I’d hoped was buried forever. We’ll see what comes of it."  Oh God do I hope so.  Having the guy in charge of the evidence locker run off with the money is probably the only thing less interesting than having Winona try and skip town with it.

Way to look like a complete asshole, K. Thrace.

Thankfully this doesn't affect Whitney in anyway.

I always forget roles like that, but they really do speak to what range of characters he can play.

I had heard that Vince Gilligan sent the script to Cranston after working with him, as @avclub-e7c26e48b7ee853cbf5e49de5d800745:disqus  said, on X-Files.  It would have been an inspired choice to go with Root, but I have heard that Gilligan had Cranston in mind in more than one place.

McGee?  I don't like ethnic writers!

I agree.  By the commonly understood definition, Rainn Wilson and Micheal Cera would be character actors.
ETA: Functionally, the term does seem to only follow around talented actors, so I don't personally find much use for the term anyway.

I'm trying hard to imagine Root being 'menacing,' but I am sure he would be awesome in the role anyway.

The fact that you can put him in so many one-off roles makes it sort of remarkable that they found a character that he could play for five seasons on Newsradio.

Have you ever seen the movie Glover wrote and directed, What is it?  If the guy were anything other than a sneering weirdo it would be a miracle.

Why does everybody leap to incest about her?  Isn't it way more fucked up that she almost fucked an anthropomorphic duck?

I could only think of Red Dawn, Back to the Future, and Howard the Duck, but reading this article I see she was a much more prolific actress back then.  And  not everything she did was terrible either!  Good for her.

Oh, the things you learn reading this site…

They have both been famous since they were 17 years old or so.  Teenage fame combined with abuse generally doesn't yield responsible decision making as adults.
