Guess it’s all about ratings, no matter how low you must go to boost it. Tamron Hall seems to have lost herself along the way. Hope she’s able to get back.

Okay, so my candidate Elizabeth Warren drops to no.3, but that’s cool, I still think it’s hers to lose.
I know i’ll catch fire for this but Susan Rice leaves me cold! From her almost dismissive comments about the slave trade claiming it was mostly “a buyers and sellers” kind of thing (a Uganda newspaper rightly put her in her damn place!); to her claim that slavery was a “largely irrelevant” issue during her visit to…
“Now, I love myself (with his dark brown complexion but I don’t want nothing ‘dark as me’. Don’t get me wrong, I love myself but that’s just my preference.”
Yea, I got you..and i’m keeping hope alive.. yet “demoralized” keep bubbling up my consciousness.. but we remain a very strong people!
Hopefully this farce is another sign that the God business is collapsing on itself. Unfortunately there will be forgiveness & hugs since it’s all about the benjamins, nothing else.
So Atatiana Jefferson, a black woman, is murdered by police in her home and her young nephew damaged and deeply scarred for the rest of his life. Talk about terrorizing a community.
This is a new low but we haven’t hit bottom yet. Deep down we all suspect this whole Trump moment or adventure is gonna blow and end up badly. And since black people are this nations eternal scapegoats, we are gonna suffer in some way or form. Just watch.
It’s amazing that any athlete can sustain that level of concentration for so long. And in Simone’s case, given the outside distractions. This isn’t manufactured hype, this is real & deserved.
My gut says a whole bunch of them quietly agree with Trump’s white nationalist agenda but a bit turned off by his vulgarity and crudeness.
Man, such a scary article, with some parts reading like a Raul Hilberg essay describing how Adolph and his boys came to power in Germany. Which makes it worth noting that the nazis were influenced by some of the racial attitudes in the U.S at the time, which is a fact.
oh my lord..are you aware of the image you’ve just created here? Stop! LOL
“Then she turned around and says they fell in love.”
From very early on, everything I read about Slave Play turned me off; even the title turns me off, which says something about my outlook on the Black experience, I guess. After reading a review at change.org and others, my wish was that it would crash and burn at the box office and simply disappear into a dust bin. I…
Yea, just reading it is... oh man...
“But it’s also worth noting that the deaths and disappearances of black women, in particular, are less likely to make any kind of news, let alone the national fervor that tends to cluster around young, white female victims.”
Your last sentence resonates... Around here, among friends/family, “demoralized” came up a lot and it’s not an easy admission but that’s the place I find myself. The last couple days have been tough (yea, that black juror too); I couldn’t watch some of the spectacle and had to pull myself away etc etc.
‘donkeychoke’...hahaha, very good!!
Oh man, this is getting more depressing. Her words are just as damning as her actions. Again, you can be smart in one area and completely clueless in another, a la Ben Carson. See, it’s not enough that we encourage our children or people to study hard, we also need to ground them in Blackness otherwise they integrate…
It seems there’s this unwritten rule that in other to motivate or catch some black people’s attention, you have to be condescending (Barack), insulting (Cosby), or simple demean & curse them out like the coach did. Don’t know if the team is all black but i’m glad she didn’t come up with the lazy & tired excuse that…
