Actually, this almost happened to me. I was a “groomswench” in my HS best friend’s wedding and attended both the Vegas and local bachelor parties. I also had a relationship with the best man but it was about five years before. So basically, this movie is my life.

I can’t name it. Lori Petty’s voice isn’t husky either, it’s scratchy. But I like it.

Jane Wiedlin’s voice is the opposite of husky.

What violates the spirit of the bachelor/ette party is having both halves of the couple and their respective friends in attendance.

It was the first time I saw boobs!

Ever since I saw that movie as a kid I’ve had a thing for short haired brunettes with husky voices. Lori Petty, Jane Wiedlin, many more.

The best part is that it was caught on accident because they forgot to stop filming and the actors couldn’t figure out what to do next.

That just makes me want a live-action Archer where Pam is played by either Amy Schumer or Rebel Wilson.

Deciding her best friend shouldn’t get married or she’s in love with him is a shitty thing to do. Being excluded from your best friend’s pre-wedding weekend getaway because you have the wrong body parts is a shitty thing to do.

I starred your comment bc If I was told about the concept without knowing who was in it, I could definitely see this happening, but being that Amy is part of it, I don't see that being the case. I think maybe in the beginning of her career she would do something like that but not now.

I have some feminist hopes for this tho (I can’t articuate any, but there is wiggle room to upset the sterotypical gender dynamic) kinda like how Bad Neighbors 2 is purported to have a strong female empowerment narrative.

That bothers me so much in rom coms when we’re supposed to root for the couple poised to destroy one of their existing relationships. Serendipity is the worst (best?) example of that.

His bride to be will be a stuck up size two blonde who doesn’t “get him” like Amy does.

After all the cool sketches she has done making fun of guys wanting “a chick who can hang” I trust that this movie isn't what it seems.

Indeed. If she said yes, I assume it’ll be worth seeing.

In Amy Schumer I Trust.

He videotaped up to TWENTY FIVE young men attempting to “consensually” hook up with a 15 year old who had been the victim of sex trafficking. He is old enough to have known that there was something seriously messed up about this, and since he is the main person the police are focusing on Im sure his involvement with

With her being trafficked at the age of 13? Consensual? I think fucking not.

Shit, this breaks my heart.

The solution is simple, really: ban all for-profit media ventures and have publicly funded elections with mandated equal air time. Easy peasy!
