Penelope Bagieu is not unknown at all. Saying she is is actually a very America-centric claim; she's among the most successful female cartoonists in France and doesn't exactly need the US' recognition (it obviously wouldn't hurt her but she doesn't need it).

I've had "Africa" by Toto in my playlist since hearing it in an hilarious scene of one episode (IMDb tells me it's Camp Refoogee). I've never been a big American Dad viewer but I remember catching a couple episodes and thinking it was so much funnier than Family Guy.

"suddenly someone has a past with that character" ; usually Rumpelstitskin.

Faux-Robin. Faux-bin ?

If they write Rumple out, what story will they possibly have left to tell in the flashbacks ? It seems like he is the catalyst for EVERY-SINGLE-DECISION every character has made that led them to where they are. I can't even think of a flashback where someone didn't make some kind of deal with him.

I literally screamed when Lewis died, as I had spent the previous two minutes repeating "Don't kill him, don't kill him, don't kill him". I really liked him. It's a testament to the writers that his death was still sad to me when in any other show it would just have been shock value.

Shoshanna managed to outshine everyone in just one scene. I actually believed her when she said she's never going to die.

I think in JTV it also helps that the narrator isn't an actual character. His only purpose is to narrate so his omniscience makes sense, while in shows narrated by a character, they shouldn't be aware of what's going on so it's hard to take them seriously.
Dead characters (see Desperate Housewives) or characters

Yes, but both Harley and Quinn are actual names so, why not. I just realized that while reading your comment.

Hahaha, the "dude" is also exactly the thing that took me out of the dream sequence. Great minds…
Riverdale is the best show to premiere this year so far. I never would have guessed, given how dismissive I was of it at first and how I'm tired of teen dramas. And a lot of people I know that I thought wouldn't care about

What a whole lot of déjà-vu. Barry lashing out at Wally : check. Barry hiding something from Iris : check. Caitlyn hiding something from the team : check. Having to watch Iris get murdered again : check. The only new element might have been Julian being resentful at Caitlyn, but even that didn't last very long, and

Marnie was completely in the right - until - she mentioned her own stress by using getting massages as an example. This couldn't be more tone-deaf (and hilarious).

I was being hyperbolic but I remember a lot of scenes where characters don't use condoms even though they don't know each other very well, where the female character asked the male not to come inside her, and it was particularly unsettling to me at the time.

I liked the episode but two deaths ? Poor Ray, what a cruel day. Although Hermie pretty much announced he was going to die two or three seasons ago.
I was genuinely shocked that Hannah was pregnant. Is it the first time the show has acknowledged that its characters' completely irresponsible approach to sex (I.e. No one

"I saw erections!"

It's funny but I think if I'd just watched the video without reading the article I don't think I'd have noticed that all the characters featured are women. I would have just seen it as a showcase of their shows, which it is. I think it just shows that female protagonists aren't that rare nor special anymore, which is

I'm now eagerly waiting for the side-by-side comparisons of the scenes recreated in the show and the actual scenes from the actual movies. Someone get on it immediately please.

… Sure. If you're actually serious, which I doubt but you never know, here's a serious response : we're talking about success and popularity and Sex and the City was very succesful and popular. So yes, it's still worthwhile history for HBO.

I said "what is the point?" at the exact same time Celeste did when her husband was complaining about not being invited to Disney on Ice.
This show managed to have me relate to Nicole Kidman. Kudos!

It wasn't my favorite but did you forget to include Sex and the City in the list of early HBO successes ? Seems like a big oversight.
