I work in health care, and my experience with psychosomatic illnesses is that there is severe, untreated trauma and an inability to express emotional pain. Some people are more self aware and understand the origin, but sadly, most don’t have the tools.

So what if a disease is psychosomatic? Really. The suffering is real all the same.
