The Fragile RIGHT, I meant to say

Ha. *I* prefer The Fragile — I'm a sucker for his slow-building, eventually-exploding instrumentals, plus "The Big Come Down" is probably my favorite song on the entire album. Agreed, though, that "Fixed" is soft-torture music, only a few steps down from waterboarding.

El-P, yeah— I could see that working out nicely and eliciting reviews that feature prominently the word "dystopian." How about Maynard James Keenan and Trent working together? (Not that Keenan is a fabulous lyricist, but his journal confessionals are more cynical, drug-addled 21 yr-old than angsty teen…)

Mom would be so proud
One hundred twenty-eighthies!!

He's boring.

I listen to Fishscale from start to "Shakey Dog" over and over again, but never seem to get past that track. Perhaps it is because my small brain and inferior tastes.

I've got *a* cringe-inducing

Too lazy to read all the comments
Maybe someone's said this already, but it sure seems like Timothy Olyphant's talent is destined to be criminally wasted in pieces of shit like this. Apart from his work in "Deadwood" and a tiny but memorable role in "Go," has he ever been in a *good* movie?

"Metal" *is* pretty freaking amazing— the best cover he's ever done, definitely, and probably the best song on Things. That or "10 Miles High," IMO. Tepid Critical Reaction— The Fragile pretty much got that too, I seem to remember. Which I never understood, as it seemed so plainly to be his best work up to that

Hmm.
I have always refused to listen to the Killers on some principle or other. Am I actually missing anything, I wonder?

So there
I really liked Things Falling Apart and thought it was a damn fine collection of remixes, though admittedly not as varied as those on Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D. As far as music hipsters are concerned, maybe I'm one of those sometimes, or maybe just a plain snob turning his nose up at music that lots of people like,
