When you stage a photo in an attempt at capturing poignancy, you're doing both yourself (as a photographer) and the audience a disservice. Any idiot with a cell phone can stage a "meaningful" photo in 2014, but a beautiful candid shot is the mark of a true genius.

Of course that's worse. We weren't talking about that article, though. (If you want to talk about it, though, I agree that it's much worse.)

Angry about what? There's nothing to be angry about, but it's insulting to everyone's intelligence to claim that photo wasn't staged.

I feel like so many people stop being vegan and are then as self-righteous about eating meat / dairy / eggs as they were about being vegan.

Younger's readers — many of whom were devout vegans and animal rights activists — didn't take well to Younger's new "balanced" approach. She tells People that after she posted her entry on her eating disorder and ensuing dietary change, her website crashed within minutes from an onslaught of traffic, and she

Interesting article, but for all that talk of "disrespect" being shown to Dodai, repeatedly referring to Emma Carmichael as a "white girl" when she's a 25-year-old adult wasn't very respectful either.

That sounds like the Jezebel I know!

The Most Poignant Clearly Staged Photo of Michelle Obama You've Ever Seen

No, Jezebel just dedicated an entire article to what stupid people are tweeting. I'm just posting the flip side of that coin in the comment section, because I'm tired of Gawker Media holding Israelis to a much higher standard than their neighbors.

It's pretty fucking stupid to throw rocks at people in tanks.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while.

I wonder what the "other side" has to say:

We're not talking about anti Palestine comments on Gawker. We're talking about anti-Palestine articles. By only showing one side (Israeli teenagers spouting hateful shit on Twitter), this article is anti-Israel. The author even admits he could find horrible posts from the "other side," but he doesn't bother.

Adults coercing toddlers into talking about killing people (on a children's TV show!) is worse than random teenagers talking shit on Twitter. You're a fucking idiot if you can't see the difference.

Keep making excuses for Hamas and holding them to much, much lower standards. They made a children's show that teaches hatred to kids? Hey, no big deal! They're angry people!

The soft bigotry of low expectations. People on Gawker expect stupid shit like that from Hamas, but they hold Israelis to a much higher standard.

Of course, the tweets from the other side of the aisle aren't much less violent (a quick search for the term Yahood leads to statements about throwing rocks and burning Israelis)

You think only people on 4chan are against false rape accusations and biased "journalism"? What the fuck is wrong with you?

Thanks!

I'm probably going to buy some. Everything I've read about Archie lately has seemed interesting.
