Came here to say exactly this. Still has one of the great sci-fi movie posters of all time.

I mean damn, it certainly looks amazing. Will it make any sense? We shall see.
Yeah, the first (short) season was good.
That first game was awesome.
Came to say the same. The vast majority of directors would love to be making a movie every 2-3 years. Chazelle may have felt like he was in jail because no one was lining up to offer him $80m to direct his next movie, but he wasn’t.
On the other hand, Trump is going to make it a lot easier for bosses to treat workers like shit, underpay them, overwork them, and wherever possible get them trapped in a cycle of indentured servitude. That’s the bit of Apartheid South Africa Musk thinks the US is sorely lacking...
That trailer is all over the place.
It isn’t meant to make sense. It’s a meme stock, and a SPAC on top of it. Meme stocks have a cycle that always ends in tears. And SPACs always fail, because they’re used by companies that don’t have the product or the revenue or the structure (or, usually, all of those things) to go public otherwise.
Does the PT Cruiser count, or is it exempt because it was made to look ridiculous?
Hoo boy, that is a highly disjointed trailer.
The context is that actors take (enforced) six month breaks all the time, because there aren’t enough jobs and/or they just don’t get hired for whichever of 10 million reasons. I suspect Sweeney is doing more than okay now, and could weather a six-month cold spell, but in 2022 when she gave that interview and was just…
Yeah I have a cousin who I guess was 6? when the prequels came out, who even now in his 30s when he should know better says he likes the prequels more than the originals.
He had a movie with Cindy Crawford right after Sliver that there was a huge media push on, because he was definitely going to be the next big star! Didn’t work out.
Is this more proof that woke is dead? Or did we need full frontal male nudity for that? The rules are a bit confusing these days.
The Batman skit and Ryan Gosling’s performance of I’m Just Ken were the two highlights of the night for me. Al Pacino’s moment was painful - he’s clearly not entirely with us anymore, and bringing him out was a bad choice.
The first 3 books are epic, the rest of the series could do with some tinkering.
It’s generally accepted that a theatrically-released movie needs to make 2.5-3x its budget to be profitable to account for the theaters’ cut, marketing costs, distribution costs, etc. So an $80m movie needs to generate anywhere from $200-240m for the studio to break even.
do you have a macro for these written or is this all bespoke posting
I would say that in TV or movies, yes indeed all questions be must provided satisfactory answers. They don’t need to be complete answers, or prove only one answer while disproving all others, or be the answers the audience wants, but the show must provide satisfactory reasoning(s) that function within the logic of the…
I just watched it last night, and yeah the eye flip was weird. It’s on the left ~90% of the time, but here and there swaps over to the right. In the days of yore we would have assumed they flipped the negative by mistake, but obv that can’t happen with a digital camera. So, for whatever reason, it was intentional.
