Ernestness and seth macfarlane are hard to take together. Whenever something idealistic happens, i expect it to be undercut. When they had that wonderful shot a few eps back of them giving the generational ship a view of the stars, I thought for sure everyone was gonna be sucked out into space.

What I liked was that even Captain Mercer has had enough of Malloy’s crap during the course of the episode. I’d like to see a payoff for that down the line, but I doubt it will happen.

Actually about the time you tapped out is when the episode makes a bit of a tonal shift. About halfway through they discover the plot and the tone shifts a bit. There are still some jokes but they fit in better. The first half was a bit rough, though.
