They keep teasing Tahani/Eleanor, so I assume they’re just keeping that on simmer until it gets a proper plot.

The Bad Place never did seem like a “second chances” kind of deal. Are the bad placers also being punished for giving Michael a try, or are they also in on his punishment? Real Eleanor seemed too bereaved by her mediocre role for her to be in on it.

The episode was positively painful from the moment Jack said “Grindr”, but it wouldn’t have felt half as bad if it hadn’t followed another stellar episode of The Good Place.
