@Mike the Dog: I thought poor design as well. Having the boom come down first on the opposite side is just asking for trouble. Normally people get stranded by queuing across the intersection but this truck was moving then the boom came down. Maybe its a one-way gate and he came in from the wrong side - though doubtful…
