Interesting, I run an aluminum block 5.3L in a GM 1/2 ton, hopefully the design flaw skipped my production year.

Three words, no.
You can do 2 or 3 of these launches before you’ve drained the batts. The Roadkill guys have an episode where they speak of it.
Lets not reimagine everything :) Just that the business case for alternative fuels will not be as strong as it used to be.
If Trump guts the EPA as discussed, betting on electric cars is a poor choice.
Lots to be said here; focus on the cars obviously as well as the drivers/owners. With a historical reference, lets see how it ticks, its historic and current strengths and challenges, cut to 2 mins of Cars & Coffee style chatting with the owner, then lets see how they like to drive it, then lets visit their latest…
The sound of a BMW M20 straight six. Old school, single valve per, no variable valve timing. The snarl as it climbs onto the cam is delightful and sharp. The burble on decel, old school as well.
Fact: The base case lifespan for designing pipelines is 50 years. Many pipelines were built that long ago and are having their lifespan extended via increased maintenance and monitoring.

:) I don’t know much about Nissan’s Juke, but would suggest the AWD and comfortable seats in a CUV or wagon configuration. It’ll be reasonable on gas, and for all the movie style “storm chasing” we think you’re going to do, the reality (I’m guessing) is you’ll very rarely be off pavement. I like the idea of blasting…

Good point, wish I had more first hand experience with both front suspensions to comment. Thinking the Taco with its 1000 lbs less may not need fancy Raptor front suspension... just big ol’ bump stops. Kabaam!
And his two under-five-year olds squeal in glee and he feels like the best dad ever before buying the cheeseburgers? We’re not talking about the 99% lol, we’re talking about the Mint 400!
So the Tacoma is a solid 20% lighter (1100 lbs) from the factory, makes sense considering the 1/2 and 1/4ton starting points. In full build out, that 20% difference is likely still there with all the additions and subtractions. Taco ftw(!) or at least Taco for a better chance of crossing the finish line with its…
Bad ass. Anyone know the weight of this thing? Thinking this Tacoma is substantially lighter (10-20%?) than the Raptor which should give it in an edge moving over rough ground.
These are a great car. Yes, its not a V10 M5, and that helps a lot in making it a great car for the silent majority of jalop-heads.
Dear Jalopnik Tracy,
