Everything isn't "going" digital... it has been digital for more than a decade. The medical "industry" still uses DOS pos terminals for tracking patient records, requires faxes and physical signatures (meaningless in today's society) on documents and tends to LOSE everything in spite of it.

Wrong. Completely wrong. There is ZERO advantage whatsoever to a fax machine over any form of modern digital communication. Hell, I can even TEXT documents faster than fax and lose no quality... and the end user can even print them from their phone these days. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO FAX INSTEAD OF DOING THAT!?!

Ha! I loved my Minidisc recorder and I still have it along with a number of discs.... still works, still sounds great.

This is why I stay the frack out of the cloud. I've heard anecdotes like this from a fair number of people on all sorts of cloud services... not just iCloud.

These things are just not reliable enough yet. And my phone and MacBook Pro have PLENTY of storage for my needs.
