Which is actually an upside down Romulan Bird of Prey!

If you want a certain level of respect for real scientific principals you are barking up the wrong tree with Star Wars. You want Star Trek, Mr. Scientist Guy.

Wow, I've never seen that before. Thanks for posting!

Its not an aspect of Apple, its an aspect of humanity. Grow up already.

That's a laugh, Jezebel is not about equality for women. All I ever see is misandry. But I guess that's ok.

They're for lazy people who make a lot of typos and don't want to learn how to type. ;)

So the story about Rodenberry wanting the Enterprise upside down isn't quite right. There were two models of the Enterprise and they were both on stands (the three-foot model was only hung once for publicity photos). But both models were built AFTER the incident.

Um... no.

I see what you did there.

Sadly R Daneel is not well known enough. He is pretty damned cool though.

Its definitely a good one, but not as good nor as powerful as Spock's death scene.

This decision is kind of disappointing, but not unexpected. I was really hoping NASA was going to break out of the old boy club and take a chance on Space X for the whole contract. I think they can do it.

"And I also know I have no idea how they phrased the question, since in a survey you get two things, the answers you tune to survey to, and the answers from people who feel passionately one way or another."

I recently attended a very good talk by Dr. Don Yeomans the head of NASA's NEO program. I think while this report (written by a congressional appointee, bean counter and NOT a scientist) highlights SOME valid issues concerning the NEO program, it places too much blame on NASA and shows a complete lack of understanding

Doesn't sound like it to me. Seems like you're just trying to make an informed decision.

The problem with your argument is that its based on a completely fallacious poll that cannot be trusted. You are doing the very same thing everyone else is... feeding into the media BS. Pew polled only 2,002 people in a country of 340 MILLION. That sample size is completely irrelevant and cannot be extrapolated.

All this poll REALLY shows is that too many Americans watch and buy too much of what the media hype machine is selling.

Confirmation bias in the extreme. Step right up everyone and have a look so you'll recognize it in the future.

The 4 million people who bought an iPhone 6 THE VERY FIRST DAY would seem to disprove your ridiculous presumption.
