Yeah, if you didn't like Ringworld, then don't bother with the rest. A World Out of Time is pretty cool though.

Oooh.... I also have a 1964 Nikkormat film camera and three lenses! It still shoots great!
OK, that's awesome! I have a DX-7 as well. I also still have my Roland R8, a Korg Wavestation, an Alesis D4 and a genuine DrumKat!
I still have the stereo my parents bought me for High School graduation... in 1983.
I've lived and spent a good deal of time in many large cities in the US. Boston, Houston, Philly, Dallas, Orlando, NYC... LA is my favorite one so far. So much to do and see here, so much to offer. Its expensive and its tough to find your place, but when you do it can be awesome.
The smog isn't that bad any more.
Hahaha! Thanks for the laugh!
Ha! Rapture of the Nerds sounds fun... it just went in my Amazon wishlist. Definitely going to check out Banks' new book too. :)
I thought Ringworld was amazing... but the sequels. Meh.

Not just sugar, but also sugar substitutes that fool the body into thinking its getting sugar and overproducing compounds that the body can't deal with. And a complete sedentary lifestyle. Work, video games, computers... no one goes outside, unless its to sit somewhere and text drivel.

The weather is better than NYC? ;)
Honestly, it make as much sense as a screen door on a submarine... but whatever. Everyone on this site is so bent on someone taking down Apple, its a little disturbing. Sigh...
These cafes started doing this to "create community" but really... look around. No one is talking to each other. They are buried in their notebooks and tablets. The rest of the patrons are all pissed because they have no where to sit and so leave. All they have done is create a sense of entitlement for some and a…
I would totally patronize that establishment!
I'm with you... if its relatively empty I might stay, but 90% of the time there are at least 5 laptop hobos taking up the seating and I would rather be elsewhere.
You're an ass... everyone is responsible for their own behavior, especially in public. That means showing courtesy and allowing other paying customers to use the limited seating when you aren't consuming product. And NO, wifi is not the product. Stop passing the buck you lazy shit. Its not the cafe's responsibility to…
Jealousy? Are you kidding? You're totally kidding... right? Baaaahahahahhahahaahahaha!
Well thought out.
