With 7 billion people on this planet I think we have plenty of people to do all of these things. Mysteries and solving them are fun! Its not dwelling, its curiosity and its the core of human nature.

I don't think its about closure or any other nonsense. Humans love a good mystery! And we are driven by curiosity to solve them. Some of these mysteries are frivolous, some are critical to our understanding of the world and ourselves. Most of the time its a lot of fun! So if some TV show or rich dude wants to spend

Wrong.

And Palm took ideas from the Newton...

That's why it took them so long. They wanted to get it right.

Your assumption is wrong, Apple has had this in some form of development for over a decade. May of the patents were filed in the late 90s. Keep in mind Apple had never made a phone before, so this was new ground for them and they weren't going to do it half-baked.

Many of Apple's patents for the iPhone date back to the late 90s....

Why? It came out AFTER the iPhone.

That is stunningly beautiful. Now post the unedited version.

WHOA! That is water???

These patent suits are nothing new. Due to the sensationalist nature of the media, they pretend to have selectively short memories about them and who is involved, as though Apple is doing anything at all new here.

I hate that movie for so many reasons... that's pretty low on the list but yeah, I agree with you completely.

I'm not so sure about that... they have a lot of missiles too, and aircraft. The problem with that scenario really though is that we don't have the backbone to follow through and truly make a brutal, fatal strike. We would never have the balls for that, not in this day and age. Thankfully, I don't think they are that

Sadly... I accidentally saw the real thing. *shivers*

Did you know that the 1701-D engine room is the re-purposed set from the engine room of the refit 1701 from the Original Series movies? Same with the conference room off of the bridge pf the D. That was the original medical bay in 1, 2 and 3, then the dining room in Star Trek 6. :)

This is so cool! I wonder if in a couple of billion years we can show a recording to whatever intelligent life develops there and say, "See? This is how your planet formed!" Maybe some alien life will do the same for us!

Carbon mostly.

I think a carrier group would employ more jamming and electronic counter-measures to confuse and redirect a missile rather than directly trying to shoot it down, that would be more effective.

My God, that is hilarious!

I have a portable induction cooktop that cost me a whopping $99 from Amazon. You could build this whole thing for less than $1,000. It would probably look better too.
