The problem is that the branch of Christianity he is following does actively hurt people. Hillsong and the other “cool” churches like Passion and way to many more are particularly insidious. On the surface its just one giant love bomb very purposefully staying away from any actual theological discussions. Most people

Probly be on SNL and work with all of the other comedians, like John Mulaney, who dig his work. Probly that.

I really enjoyed that movie but its really hard to watch it now. Worse, for me, is LA Confidential which is a movie I really love and even though he isn’t the main focus, he’s in it enough to make it unwatchable now.

I don’t imagine it will be a rip off really. Simon Rich who is behind this runs in the same circle as a lot of those writers and actors (he wrote on SNL and has some amazing books).

I think you just hit it for me. There’s the struggle for content but that’s fairly typical. But more than that, like you said, the classes just don’t feel fun. The levelling experience was so unenjoyable for some of my mains this time around. Some of that was mob density in new areas that felt like lazy planning but

This show really needs to be a much bigger deal than it is.

Israel, much like the US and practically the rest of the world, has undergone a mixing of conservative politics and religion. The two are linked to reinforce the shitty policies being discussed. The Orthodox community has gained a lot more power and influence of late. Not that Israel has ever really had a separation.

I was checking Twitter after this aired to see responses and I was pleased to see that these were in the minority. The scary part was that checking the profile of those who were in support of it not only were fathers but were often high school coaches too.

Came here to post the same thing. Travellers do have unique DNA traits now but their origins appear to be Irish in origin, perhaps beginning in the late 1500's when native Irish began to be displaced. Romani have ethnic origins in northern India.

And risked wiping out the island by spreading pathogens they haven’t been exposed too. Same reason India isn’t going to send investigators.

Name anything he’s been in good in. Given most of what he’s been in has been terrible writing, including way back with The Tudors, but even in roles he should be having fun with and are just good fun productions like the newest Mission Impossible, he’s just empty space at best.

He’s nice to people on productions because 1) he knows it will leak 2) he is all about hyper-efficiency. Being shitty on set means the work doesn’t get done. Off set...totally different story. One of the draws for celebrities to Scientology, and he is the king celeb in the church, is that you effectively get slave

Well he’s a slum lord in multiple places, violated SEC laws by promoting business interests on his show and not disclosing he was invested or partnered with them, hired Cohen as an “attorney” for some reason (meaning he needed to pay somebody off),  and the properties he is the slum lord on is done through a shell

It would be a waste of time though. The counts that got the mistrial can and should be factored into his sentencing on the guilty counts. He also has another trial coming up, thankfully, in a different venue and different judge.

Unlike the author of this, watch more than one episode. The rest doesn’t match this tone at all. The first episode is like that on purpose to show how empty and pathetic that posturing is. Think of these people as more like characters in Veep, which given that the creator worked with Armando Iannucci, its not a

Succession is pretty great if you have access to HBO. I’d say its the the show Billions wishes it was but that would be shortchanging it. Its got the dark humor of Veep or In the Loop but with actual pathos and fleshed out characters that those (by necessity) sometimes lack.

I guess you missed all the parts, which was all of it, that were his own actions and choices. Defending this guy is a strange hill to die on.

Bloodline alone doesn’t make it so but if you follow down the same path then you get painted with the same brush. I posted it elsewhere on this but this notion that he’s the “good brother” just because he’s not Jared is ridiculous. He’s literally in business with him. They do the same things.

Criminal Dad bought his way into Harvard with a $2.5 million “donation.” Started a magazine while there that aimed to be the “Vanity Fair or Vogue” of Harvard. Like the worst examples of those magazines it was nothing but extremely rich white kids and was met with protests. Did his stint at Goldman Sachs like

It was a little jarring coming from something thats supposed to be Avatar influenced. I’m hoping its just something with the trailer itself though.
