Oh it made itself perfectly well understood. Far, far, far, far more than Star Wars, which did no much needed world building/character backstory, and people loved that. That’s not the issue here. People decided to hate this movie before seeing it. That’s the issue.

If you know of Angry Joe, he literally thought this exact thing. He has worn a superman shirt for at least a decade. He was surprised Doomsday killed Superman, and that was his reasoning for not liking the movie. Yup. That’s how stupid deciding on a film beforehand can be, because then you have to scramble for reasons…

And sometimes the internet mob collectively decides to hate on a film before its even out :) This is one case, Ghostbusters is going to be another. Doesn’t matter how good it ends up being. The internet mole-men have decided.

Thank god somebody said it. It had its odd moments and subplots that could’ve been cut, but really, it was a far better written movie than Star Wars.

So many important missing character plot points. What a broken ass movie this was. Not giving any motivation to why Ren would turn to the dark side pulled me right out of it. No, ‘He had too much Vader in him’ isn’t enough backstory. No, I shoudn’t have to wait 30 more months and dish out 10 more bucks to get it.

I reckon Tyrion is Martin’s insertion, personally. His is the character written most sympathetically and endearingly.
