There are known pieces of leatherwork made from human skin, but they are quite rare. As I understand, Human skin isn't easily 'tanned' and can fall apart quite easily without an expert (pardon) hand at the tanning process.

My friend had Duodenal Switch surgery (weight loss surgery touted to be more effective than lap-band or gastric bypass) and her BMI was the primary indicator for eligibility for surgery, and the primary indicator for insurance coverage of said surgery.
Oh, the coats. As much as the lace is distracting, I can't take my eyes off of the coats.

My sweet rattie Daisy is on her way out of this life today. Heading home from work to sit with her and see her through her transition. :( I will miss her. Also, SQUEE!
My mother, in a recent conversation, used the words...kid you not..."Mammy hair". I nearly lost my freaking mind. I think we must have had a two hour further conversation about why that is so not appropriate and that I'd be terribly disappointed in her should she ever say it again. Yes, at that moment, I parented…
There was a new stretch of highway in rural Arizona that my boyfriend and I drove on a year ago at night. The lines were so reflective that we were both, honestly, trippin'. We also ended up going over a hundred in no time just as we passed a waiting cop. It's a TRAP!
Those Pitt-Jolie kids are going to rock this world.
I need to work on my boyfriend to buy a suit, as we've found our poorly dressed selves invited to a few upscale events lately, and I'm always, ugh....sweater and slacks? I'm glad you love Men's Wearhouse, as I have thought that we'd end up there. I say we, because if this is an adventure he undertakes alone, I'm…
Tony DeFranco (the bad-boy Osmond alternative), Parker Stevenson, and if we go way back, I had a big thing for Roddy McDowell and Paul Lynde. Later on I got a hit on Rex Smith and actually have an autographed LP. The crushes keep coming, and I share the Skarsgard love.
Malachi is also the name of the lead evil-doer-child in "Children of the Corn". Coincidence?
Sorry, that pic is HUGE! He is much smaller IRL.
I have a one-eyed Syrian Hamster - Ser August Winkleman, III, Esq. Yes, he is a posh hammie, and he is fabulous when he's in the mood. He does live alone, as male rodents can be awful to one another, and you definitely don't want to mix the sexes, as there are enough unwanted rodents in the world. He is a great…
Guinea Pigs, rats, hamsters, bunnies and gerbils, please.
Kitty loves that bowl. Seems your mom knows exactly what kitty wanted.
I had this about a month ago. Passed out twice. It was damned awful. I feel for Hillary. Stomach virus is nothing to mess with.
Cute cat! My roomie's cat plays in in the bathtub occasionally. She likes the slipperyness of it, I think. The bathroom is her room though. She sleeps in there on the rug as the other cat won't really go in there so she remains unmolested for the most part.
Just as I don't want anyone telling me I must procreate, I don't want anyone telling someone else they cannot, no matter the circumstances. Reproductive rights go both ways.
I'd be the one. For whatever reason, my skin tone does no go well with greens (except vibrant yellowy lime) and I end up looking jaundiced. It's particularly bad with emeralds and forest greens.
I didn't think it was disturbing at all, but rather delightful.
