back when i was in college people used to crack u-locks open with car scissor jacks. a specific VW jack worked best. you would slide the jack into the U, placing the ground side on one leg and the lifting unit on the other leg. start “lifting” the “car” and the U would eventually crack and break as the jack opened up.

i loved the idea of the soft tail. even when trek stole the idea and had hincapie ride one to what could have been a paris-roubaix win, had it not been for a faulty fork steerer tube. that was one horrific crash.

this. all of this. i bought a “regular civic hatchback and damnit, i love it. it looks like what future cars should look like. the new styling looks like they decided to lean into their old acura sedan toolkit. the type r looks like the last gen pontiac gto or chevy cobalt; they too a sedan and slapped a spoiler on

Reminds me of the issue someone was having with their Mazda6 while trying to listen to the 99 % Invisible podcast:

obviously the inspiration to the style cues for the cybertruck

im not certain if he put money down or not. his son told my son, and i thought it was bananas. then my wife asked his wife, and she said, “yeah,” i’m so upset, i really dont want people to know. i was in shock that day and dont remember what i told who.” so, his wife thinks she may have told my wife, but it was really

is norah jones holding the stellar starfish from the suicide squad?

i took this as unnecessary cruelty toward shiv by saying she actually never actually wanted children, but would rather have dogs; in her eyes, shiv is second to an animal. add that logan will always kick you just to see if you will come back, which is what he is doing to his family, and shiv starts to see maybe she

i read it more as logan was finally feeling like roman was reliable and cutthroat...actually believing the roman could possibly, someday, maybe, take over and logans legacy and company would live on. basically, logan wouldnt be viewed as a powerful businessman but failure as a father.
but while he was in the shower,

friend went to the dealer to pick up their new bronco, ordered the day the site went up. they get in the showroom and are told there was another guy interested in buying it and was willing to pay $10,000 more. if they wanted it, they needed to “pony” up the extra 10k. i would have walked and sworn off ford forever.

im weird. i like that black plastic cladding around wheel arches on most cars. the first car i saw that actually made me second guess my take on cladding was the kona. and now this. it just looks gross. its like you choose the wrong outline weight of a rounded rectangle shape in PowerPoint. and the front? disgusting,

saw one on i39 this past weekend driving down to Peoria, IL. The Wife had no idea why i was so excited to see one on the road.
then. later that night, i was talking to someone who just bought a bronco and joked i saw a rivian and he should have just waited and bought one of those. he somewhat agreed. come to find out

the mchenry dam! not too far, and a pretty well-ridden bike destination. i tend to stick to the millenium and des plaines river trails because drivers up here are bonkers. but i have ridden out to mchenry now and again. especially to reward myself with a trip to riverside chocolate shop, which is confusingly not

The Old Man used to work for a semi truck manufacturer in Ohio and would get overtime by working the Bone Yard. Any truck that didnt pass QA would go to the BOne Yard and sit until the weekend, when OT workers would have them brought in, find what was wrong and fix it. It could be anything from the wrong badge/hood

YO! i saw your article about the lss and thought it looked like 94 north of lake cook road. now youve got the mchenry outdoor theater pictures? where is that twisty road? it almost looks like deer grove, west of quentin, near the old toboggan flumes.

i know when it was stated in the show. what i am saying is there is no way his employer wouldnt know based on his previous college football coaching success and the stories out of that.

ted took a college football team to a championship. granted, not the *big* one, but still a college in the Missouri Valley Conference winning that level’s championship would be a big news story, especially on espn. and espn loves the underdog story. one of the first things they do when they look at a coach or player

something about the maverick’s looks i dont like. cant put my finger on it, but it does seem box and disproportionate in many of the photos. i would love the hybrid maverick if it had the santa cruz shell. or the santa cruz with a hybrid option and the flexibility of the maverick bed and those sweet maverick interior

someone in my neighborhood has one, but its not the coach edition, so no “suicide” doors. it does have the trick chrome door handles masked by the chrome bloodline.
