Many historical photos often provide a narrative that isn’t occurring in the context of the real events. It doesn’t make the message any less invalid.

It is not about these specific white women. It is not even about this specific black woman. It is a historical photograph. It is art. It is a message. Remove what’s personal about the picture and I think you’ll be able to view it in its proper context.
I don’t think it’s divisive for a black woman to hope that more white woman get involved in all women’s rights, especially those involving women of color. Was how she stated it uncomfortable for many white women to hear? Perhaps. But I think that’s often how words come across when there is truth behind them. I know I…
While I agree with what you’re saying, it is also worth pointing out that In God We Trust has been on US coins since 1864.
Looks to me like he only gets the T after turning back to say something to the ref. The initial camera angle doesn’t show him turning around. It only shows him getting a T while walking to the bench, but at :51 you can see him turn back to say something, which appears to come before the T.
Oh the limit of Ernie Grundfeld’s stupidity knows no bounds.
I agree. Which is why I think trying to grab a close to all-star level PG would really help provide some cohesion to the team. Trying to snag someone like Bledsoe or Dragic (Wall would be the ulimate) could really take this team up a notch. A starting five of Dragic, Harris, Chandler, Gallo, and Jokic looks pretty…
The Nuggets are really interesting. A frontline of Chandler, Gallo, and Jokic could be really special if they could get to even mediocre on defense. Will Barton is the perfect 6th man. Gary Harris has played really well since returning from injury. Murray has already shown he can be a fantastic shooter in the league.…
Think you mean Jokić. Although I love Nurkic too :)
2% points? Ha! Says what source? The polls were flawed the entire cycle. This statement cannot be proved and surely cannot be tied directly to Comey.
“...still think Comey was the bigger proximate cause why Clinton lost.”
This is so far from the truth. Pull your head out of the sand.
Or you put up a sign farther down the road that says “Lane closure ahead. Come to a stop.” And then add more cones that are easily seen from a further distance and don’t abruptly shut off the lane. Ya’ll act like this is fucking rocket science. It’s not that hard to properly warn people of a lane closure. Holy fucking…
Fuck Mac Brown. Fuck Chris Simms. Applewhite forever!
Jesus christ what kind of bullshit take is this. Just because someone slid into a box doesn’t excuse knowingly making a situation more dangerous and not properly following OSHA safety standards. They’re closing a lane in icy conditions over a blind hill, show a modicum of professionalism and concern for public safety.
Sure, some of the motorist should have probably been going slower, but to say the Comcast guys weren’t wrong is nonsensical. They knowingly created a dangerous situation. Those icy conditions also dictate that they adjust protocol (protocol they were not even following).
Sure, but the Comcast trucks had the ability to simply add more cones or provide better warning about the lane closure, but didn’t. This isn’t the same as the examples you cite. These guys knowingly created a dangerous situation. They could have done something about it, but didn’t.
Seriously? You really think the President demanding a list of individual names of those who have merely worked on climate change projects in an effort to purge good science in favor of big business cronyism, is ok? This country has truly gone mad.
Oh, please. Anti-trust laws are much more about promoting fair competition and preventing monopolies than simply limiting the mergers of companies within the same industry. If you don’t understand why allowing the merger of the second-largest US telecommunications company with the second-largest broadband provider…
Literally, what is the point of having anti-trust laws if this is allowed to happen?
