There was so much more sexual violence in the books. Particularly during the King's Landing riot and at Harrenhal. I do think seeing the events at Craster's came off really badly in ways they didn't intend after the horrible sept scene. But yeah, to compare the show unfavorably to the books in this regard is

A lot of this new-agey type stuff misappropriates quantum physics. The people who write these sorts of books do not actually understand. I'm not claiming to fully understand quantum physics myself. I'm not a physicist. But you can't just say that magic and the positive thinking movement is real because quantum

It's nice here in MN if you can deal with the cold. At least the cold keeps away a lot of creepy crawlies.

How has it never occurred to me to seek John Waters gifs before? Good on you!

There's no expectation of privacy in public. The right to film in public is protected by the 1st amendment. The courts have ruled on this many times.

And prepubescent girls aren't actually female!

Oh, no kidding. I had to stop reading them and I'm cis. I can't imagine what someone who is trans would experience reading some of that bullshit.

Why don't you tell your asshole friends that if they hadn't gang raped someone your shitty town wouldn't be in the news?

And so many men try to tell us there is no such thing as a male entitlement problem in our culture.

That woman sounds like a complete idiot and I'd bet her kids do all the things she claims they would never do. From what I remember of high school, it was the teens of the naïve parents who thought their kids could do no wrong that did the most partying.

For some reason I thought the average was C but I Googled and by Jove! You are correct. Even when I was a large B cup at age 15 a string bikini wasn't enough support for me. The idea of squeezing my G cups into a string bikini is laughable. I think that triangle would be essentially a pasty on me.

Could be genetics. Autism tends to run in families.

I know what you mean. My autistic brother was born in 1983 and it doesn't seem like we are any closer to treating, curing or preventing it than we were in the 80's. It really sucks.

They really should. I keep saying that the Io9 authors should train the Jezebel authors on how to write about science. None of the writers on this site seem particularly well versed in it. Not because they aren't intelligent enough, they just aren't knowledgeable in this area.

When did you grow up? The 50's? I knew it was slur growing up and I was born in 1980. Actually, my parents did grow up in the 50's and they never talked like that. Maybe you and your childhood friends are all just a bunch of assholes?

At the age I convinced myself my house haunted. I have no idea why I thought that. The evidence was even flimsier than what you see on Ghost Adventures. I managed to convince a number of my friends it was haunted too. They reported similar bad vibes in certain parts of the house.

It's not like this kind of thing is new. Haven't the police heard of Leopold and Loeb? Pretty sure the internet wasn't to blame for that one.

I don't where you've been the last week and a half. Around here, and other women oriented spaces we just spent the last week and a half since the UCSB shooting being told we shouldn't be so angry at the misogyny in our culture because it was hurting the feelings of men.

I grew up in 80's and 90's and knew slurs were wrong.
