I’m going to be honest: I don’t understand why Tom Hanks is the one that people hold up as the pinnacle of a good guy. He seems... alright? But I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he ended up as scummy as the rest of them.

If you can find it in the US, Seventeen’s “Doll’d Up” is amazing. It lasts for ages, rarely clumps (I’ve only ever had problems in the middle of winter after a long day) and is cheap as all heck. I have naturally long/thick lashes, my wife has short, straight ones, and a friend has thin, blonde lashes - it’s highly…
On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of being the only non-male in my team lunch. Which meant I was privy to multiple men exclaiming concerns that some of these women surely just regret something they once consented to, and that “in my day, some of this was just considered flirting!”
She definitely wasn’t a baby when she was taken, because the newspaper clip about her missing showed her as probably 6-8. And I could see her purposefully relearning her accent - it slipped in and out of British Indian and American.
I think it was less Santino wanted to leave, more that there was such a long time between when they filmed season 1 and when they found out that it had been renewed, that he had received an offer in the meantime and wasn’t in a position to say no on the chance that CXG was picked up for a second season.
On the back of this, I’m so glad that Paula and Valencia talked about what Rebecca brought up about Paula, and that Paula acknowledged that she’s done fucked up things. She didn’t try to excuse it or deny it or blame it on Rebecca, which she easily could have done.
Man, as someone with a complicated relationship with their parents where everyone’s performing rather than saying anything they mean, Bojack’s arc with his mum in S4 was cathartic to watch. Painful as all hell, but handled with incredible nuance.
Omri Katz is 41 and Hocus Pocus was 24 years ago, so I’d say that’s perfectly doable!
Noel worked surprisingly well, and I loved watching him getting more at home in the tent.
I have absolutely no love for Paul, but I’ve found the gentle ribbing a good balance - he’s also far less up himself as the series goes on, I think due to being worn down by Prue and the others.
Click your icon at the top and go to Account Settings, easy as that. :)
Have you watched this series? I find it just as enjoyable, and at times even moreso. Prue (and Sandi and Noel) have no fear in poking fun at Paul and his ego. The format is unchanged, and I found the contestants felt more varied this year than the BBC tends to go for. Noel and Sandi have been incredibly sweet, and…
I lived for about three or four years having only told my now-wife the full extent of my ex-boyfriend’s abuse. It festered inside and caused me to have major trust and self-worth issues. The main reason I never told anyone else?
1. Josh has already confused everyone recently by 1) proposing to Rebecca in the first place, 2) jilting her at the alter and 3) disappearing to priest school. I could understand his friends already feeling like they didn’t entirely know Josh at the moment. And sometimes you do know people for so long that you stop…
I was thinking about how White Josh has yet to sing, the other day. So far he’s sat outside things, including his pondering of why all of his friends are obsessed with Rebecca. I think that’s part of it. And while it might be getting deeper than intended, I think him joining in with Where’s Rebecca Bunch? is a nod to…
On the other hand, Liz Taylor is an awesome character in AHS: Hotel, and makes me feel a lot more hope. She was played by a cis man, but she was a highly sympathetic character that was never reduced to her status as a transwoman, except a single scene in her backstory in which retribution is quickly dealt. She also…
I was reminded last night, in falling down a YouTube hole, that It Was a Shitshow exists and was the perfect summary and send-off of their relationship. Like, yes, they might have connected in a lot of ways and he might’ve understood and embraced her crazy, but they were so very bad together.
Have you tried E45? It’s a whole range of products specifically designed with things like eczema in mind. I’ve had some good luck with it, before.
