I'll give you the outside chance that Winter Soldier could be in there (weird for a film that had no dramatic arc/change for the lead character, but so be it), but Guardians was the year's most over rated flilm by far. The acting was so very, very, terrible, Pratt aside. Like, jaw droppingly terrible.

Wait, you're saying Boyhood is overrated, but think Guardians was one of the best films of the year? That's just mental.

Wasn't HDTGM's best year, new episodes are pretty sporadic now that Scheer is busy with a thousand other things (not to mention a baby). I've listened to both, and prefer HDTGM, as I find only Elliot tolerable on The Flop House, and the endless cutting off and one upping each other gets old fast.

I didn't find the characters (you can make an exception for Quill) compelling in the slightest. Most of them were walking plot mechanics, and the "bad guys" were laughably wooden, poorly acted messes. It actually amazed me that a talking raccoon was so incredibly uninteresting. He was a one trick pony, and a sour,

While Guardians was fun, the level of acting in that film was slightly above High School theatre. I can't remember the last time I saw such a big budget film with such cringe-worthy performances. It was more like the film told me "you have to like these guys", rather than say, making me like those guys.

Over half of the comments in this post seem to be apologizing for being the only one who thought The Master was crap. Take from that what you will.

Exactly. Fun to look at, lots of people at the top of their game, boooooooooooooooooooooooooooring,
