Star Wars was definitely saved in the edit, but over the years Lucas has attempted to minimize her contributions to Star Wars. She did not work on Empire and did a little work on Jedi, but by then they were getting divorced.

Lucas was always better as an idea man with someone to bounce stuff off when he tendency to go goofy takes over. Gary Kurtz was able to do this to a point but by the time Jedi was in production, he was not being listed to. Rick McCallum, producer of the prequels was not this at all but a yes man and it showed.
