may or may not, but you should refer to people by their gender identity and not their sex. using sex to refer to something is usually reserved to other animals (or even objects), not humans

while very interesting and i'd really like to know what happened and if it really was a crime (what else could it even be?), it was pretty distracting constantly reading human women referred to as "females".
(unless of course their sex is more relevant than their gender in what caused this)
