I am going to try what this guy just did and anyone who can read it gets a prize (=.

Forget the shelf brackets, why not use hinges instead allowing the desk to fold away?

If this thing is going to run FireFox it'd better have like 16 gigs of ram.

@mados123: No problem, you are super welcome! Glad I could help.

Based on LH users "robot-shmobot" desktop background version, here is a printable version.

@Rick B: checkout workrave which is a pretty awesome tool and not as intrusive depending on your settings.

@mados123: 1st right-click the thumbnail image. 2nd select open in a new tab. 3rd hover over image and left-click which should expand the image. Next, right-click the image and select "save image as"

@flinx1: Thanks for the recommendations. I'll have to give them a try. One would think that the people who build apartments might take noise into consideration, but I guess they don't.

@Ashwin Mudigonda: Man I feel for you as I have been in the exact same situation your describing. I actually had to knock on their door on eleven different occasions. It was totally unbearable. They moved our recently, but may be coming back which totally and completely sucks.

Thanks to a tip from another LH reader, I now use FF, Chrome, and Opera mainly as all 3 have the ability to sync there browsers to different locations. Also looking into IE 9

@meseta: If its not that many programs you could try re-installing them which should put everything back. You would of course then have to delete all the other shortcuts you made or moved. Not sure if there is a better way. )=

@not_a_virus.exe.vbs: Windows Media Center 7 and GBPVR will both allow you to back up to DVD. GBPVR does a much much better job of it though with more options such as cutting out section, selecting a thumbnail for the DVD, etc. WMC doesn't give any of those options.

EA looks best on the inside. Netflix looks best on the outside. IMHO.

@Xagest: Impressive, I may be putting this to use shortly. Thanks.

The best way to keep your stuff in sync is by using a VPN in my humble opinion. If you have server at home, this will give you access at anytime. You may want to keep your server on a battery backup power supply in case there is a power outage, because once the server goes down, so does your VPN. A couple good

@MaxellDVD1: Perfectionism is definitely what get me. I feel I have to be the best, so I do nothing instead. It makes absolutely no sense, but it is what I do. Can't seem to figure it out.

DO NOT use PCI tuner cards if you have a 64-bit system. They will limit your system to only 4gb of ram. If you have 4gb or more, you will be forced to either remove ram, or to limit your ram via msconfig. This is especially the case with the Hauppauge cards. Just Google "hauppauge 4gb limit". Some people have gotten

@timgray: Really, because I'm looking into purchasing the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner. How many tuners are on the homerun? Also, which software ca it be used with? For example I currently using GBPVR, but am testing out MCE and really starting to like it. Any suggestions?

Just a side note. When you pay $10/month for a fax service. Your outgoing faxes aren't free.

Originally I had thought this was a good idea, so I installed a shelf using nice looking brackets next to my desk.
