I completely agree with you. I just find this game of pass-the-buck to be particularly repulsive in light of the NYPD's well-documented history of racism.

I find it so ironic that the NYPD is wasting time and energy trying to convince us that they were not the racists in these instances, when they have explicitly supported and systematically carried out racist policies (including stop-and-frisk).
