I'm sure if we can get a candidate less outwardly hated then Hillary we can get a few of those votes (and yes I voted for her, and even like her though it was always clear she wasn't going to win, looking back).

So he was right not to condemn neo-nazis who were having the largest march in decades which led to a goddamned nazi driving his car into a group of innocents?

I'm waiting for the evidence the guy didn't do it just because he saw an opportunity to kill people he disagreed with and took it. Oh wait, you don't have any because his name was just given for the first time a few minutes ago.

No, if we ignore them then their views come across as being acceptable to hold. They aren't.

To do that we need a better campaign stance than "Well we can't do any WORSE than Trump, right?"

2018 is looking terrible for the Democrats just because of the numbers. Also good old Bernie is sowing discord in a party that can't afford it right now (after single handedly handing Trump the goddamned election).

also, someone got scared so they hopped in a car and purposely ran people over? Fucking stupid. Does anyone actually believe that? Do YOU even believe it?

I go to University of Houston and there are a couple of Trump supporters around (for some reason, usually people only protest when they aren't winning) and I've never once heard them say that "America belongs to whites". Most of it is just flawed economic stances and wanting a conservative on the Supreme Court.

This, fucking jesus. MOJO gave the stupidest fucking argument I've ever heard.

Someone has to. If we don't stand up to these pieces of shit they win.

We lost already. I hope that isn't the case, but it sure feels like it.

just some butt-hurt white supremacist morons sad that they aren't being applauded for being racist pieces of shit.

I'm not going to sympathize with a goddamned white supremacist terrorist. The death penalty still exists for shitheels such as him and I hope he fries.

It's not a war. Stop comparing it to a fucking war. It's not a war in the literal sense, and it's not a metaphorical one either.

can't say we don't deserve it.

The Underside of Power from Algiers might work

Houston is pretty damned liberal in the city. I've been with my husband for a decade and I've never gotten any shit, and we're pretty open in public. Also our mayor is a Democrat and we had the first lesbian mayor in Texas a few years ago.

…that was shockingly unfunny. If we were at a comedy show I'd throw a tomato at you.

As someone who lives in Houston, this is absolutely fucking true.

Really? Do I really have to answer how someone getting murdered by a neo-nazi (or three now, it seems) is not an act of war? The person who did it should get life in prison, but a war? Give me a fucking break.
