It’s a pretty legitimate racing tactic to force the challenger to take the long way around. This usually involves coming off the racing line to block the inside of the corner. Standard fare, really.

I think intent comes in to play. Drifts are purposeful, spins are accidental.

Marko was pretty clear that the underperforming driver would be chopped. Kvyat felt the pressure more and started screwing up. Demoting him takes that pressure off, so maybe he’ll get back on form.

You should say what needs to be said. My arguement is that you need to pick your battles. An overly dramatic response to a minor issue is one of the hallmarks of stupidity. Measure your response, and people will listen. Run around like an idiot, and people will treat you in kind.
