The only solution I have come up with is for the taxpayer to be taken out of the settlements. A person receives a settlement for getting their skull fractured? Don't have the municipality pay it... take it from the police pension fund. It wouldn't be quite as funny when their co-workers put a dent in their own…

I know they’re weak as water. For the most part, they’re not even being held accountable, yet they fold like a house of cards. We’re being thrown the occasional bone so that it looks like something is being done.

Not sure if it was mentioned on this site but 57 Buffalo officers also quit (the unit they were on) in solidarity with the cops that shoved the old man. All of this sounds to me like trash taking itself out.

A lot of them act hard but hide behind their blue wall bullshit or the law, which is setup to protect them. They do what they do so brazenly because they know they only have to answer to their peers. What they fear about this situation isn’t criticism. Its the fear of being held accountable.

Sounds like they became cops to be draped in public glory and adoration all while experiencing the joys of being above the law.

They’re big and bad enough to kill unarmed black men and women for the flimsiest of excuses, but they can’t take the heat of the rightful criticism they’re getting for those unwarranted deaths? Too bad, so sad. We’re not going to absolve them of this shit.
