The behavior alleged by these students is unacceptable from anyone, let alone a professor. These allegations require full investigation and swift action based on that investigation.

Part of the problem is the wording of these measures. Some are so overly broad or so subject to reinterpretation by whoever happens to be in power that their impact is impossible to predict. Here is one I found when looking online for proposed measures across the country:
