Only in America would a cop have the temerity to claim self defense after firing thru a car window, over his partner, at a person he couldn’t possibly have seen clearly. Maybe this family will actually see justice. Maybe somehow that will lead to other families seeing justice too.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has noticed the steep decline of customer service and quality in the past few decades. Craftsman which used to be a trusted brand has largely gone to crap, as has its former owner Sears.

I was fortunate that I could quit without needing to be concerned with starving, or homelessness, or supporting kids. It wasn’t easy, but not having those concerns made leaving possible.

Rather than dismiss your comment as it deserves, or wasting my time replying again to someone who has demonstrated an inability to consider any ideas not originating in their own head, I’ll give the most polite response I can muster:

I’d like to clarify what you wrote... The well deserved bad reputation the cops have earned doesn’t matter. The fact that they ran up and grabbed a guy for something which is legal, until they can prove otherwise - something they readily admit - doesn’t matter.

Why are people ignoring how the struggle began? Chicago PD has a bad reputation. When they swarmed this guy and grabbed him, only 2 things could have happened: he completely surrendered, ignoring the fact that they could still kill him and get away with it, or he could resist in some way.
