Sinema is quite popular with Arizonans

I get where centrist Democrats are coming from. For decades, Republicans have brainwashed us into believing that the Democratic party is the party of wasteful spending, despite they’re the ones who decided to finance wars with debt. Since the 1990's, Democrats are wary of anything with a big price tag or what appears

Uhhh, no. I live in Arizona, the people that voted for her are PISSED, myself among them. The ONLY reason she won in the first place was that 1)McSally was even worse and 2)She did a good job of baiting and switching.

It confuses me as well! I would have hoped he could bring that anti-racism energy in support of other forms of oppression. I thought that the parallels in those struggles would be evident. Instead, we got quotes like “gender is a fact”, “trans people make up words to win arguments”, and the use of transgender slurs.

Hell, I’m a nobody and there are things that I will only ever say to my girlfriend or some of my friends rather than ever post them to social media. Because they know me and they’ll get that they’re those kind of awful, spur of the moment, “did I just think that, FUCK... but it’s kinda funny, too?” things, not deeply

Trans people are killed quite often just for existing. It’s not like they have privilege that needs to be checked.

Yeah, I for-sure never got a vibe that it was money related. I think she genuinely fell for all the hype about the guy. I admit I laughed quite a bit about the fact that her mom just openly hates him and talked about what an awful dad he was.

I do enjoy some of Grimes’ music so I kind of hope something can happen there

I agree with that, entirely. From the fact that he risked the mission to recover Harley to him fighting back against destroying the hard drive, it was clear he was becoming a liability to Waller’s objectives. That alone makes sense for why she’d put him on the expendable team. We didn't need the funny, petty

“One thing we had to cut from the film that sometimes I’m like ‘oh, I wish we didn’t!’ is that we find out why Rick Flag is in that group,” Gunn explained. “We see a flashback where Rick Flag makes fun of Amanda Waller’s shirt. It’s this really ugly shirt with all these different colors on it, and he says, ‘It looks

Yet at the same time he is a dude who longs for the simpler times of the 1940s and whose ultimate prize is to go back to live comfortably in that world despite having become utterly aware of all the discrimination of that era.

Yes. They’re very sneaky. When I was uninsured I needed a very expensive test. I was quoted $1200. I asked MULTIPLE times if that was the total charge, and was told yes, that was the cost of the test. Fine, I scrounged and made it work and paid the $1200. Weeks later, I got a bill in the mail for $2500. It was unreal.

Team USA posted footage of Biles landing the move during practice for Saturday’s U.S. Classic. According to the Washington Post back in 2020, the move, named after Russian champion Natalia Yurchenko, has never been attempted by a female gymnast in competition.

I didn’t leave America because of the horrific healthcare system, but it’s one of the major reasons I would never move back.

The whole system is irredeemably corrupt.

Agreed. I don’t know why they bother with the bottoms (or the tops, but we can discuss that on an other thread). If it is just a string on the hips, a string up your ass crack and 2 square inches of fabric in your crotch, and you are CLEARLY waxed in all the uncomfortable places, why are you bothering?

My point is that what your trainer friend said was super critical and fucked up and unnecessary. This whole article is about why she wanted the photo taken down. Someone literally replied to your post “Well, if I didn’t hate my body before, I sure do hate my disgusting body now!” That complete takedown of how her

Saying that “oh if you were REALLY working out and eating salad your body would look like this other individual’s body” is contributing to the same shit those teas do and two wrongs don’t make a right. Have sympathy for the people reading that shitty comment who hate their bodies and think that if they just replicate

I totally agree. It seems like this would have been a great opportunity to be like “Hey, what I look like at the pool with my kids is not what I look like at a fitness photo shoot. That’s normal and fine.” which seems to be something that a lot more celebrities (even fitness people!) are doing.

Yeah such empathy, I totally remember how empathetic she was towards a teenager like Chloe Grace Moritz.

Yup. In cynical moments, I imagine Whedon setting the show in Victorian times, because that’s an era where he still looks like a feminist.
