I've gotten to the point where I far prefer studying and doing homework with music. I have soundtracks for a lot of games on my phone (mainly Sonic the Hedgehog games) and it is good stuff. Metal is great too, because it's not designed to get your attention like pop. It's big and loud and awesome.
