Your opinion is that arbitrary and extreme violence is OK, as long as it was written in the fine print beforehand.

Dictators love those kind of people. Give them a stick and tell them to bash a baby’s skull in, and they’ll hop right to it. Give them a shovel and they will happily dig their own grave before kneeling in it for the shot to the back of the head.
I 100% agree. Everyone who posted shit about Jump When Told To Jump by the Authorities is already dead inside, and it makes me sad. There is no fight or spirit in these people, just the desire to get home to their TV.
What’s worse are the losers spending their day defending those policies all over these articles.
Some of the comments on the previous articles on this story are as upsetting to me as the actual event. I cannot get behind the idea that it’s ok to assault someone because they won’t adhere to a frivolous airline policy when multiple other options were open to the airline.
It’s awful. We celebrate and glorify violence and hyper-masculinity in every venue. TV, movies, music, sports, the internet - it’s everywhere. Showing emotion or humanity to some is weakness. Caring for others makes you a pussy to lots of people in this country. We are a dog-eat-dog society in so many ways.
I do agree about the “unlawfully”, that will be tricky.
I agree. Being unlawfully carried away or seized by force is kidnapping. The “unlawfully” will be tricky, but in my view - that is what happened.
I don’t know. There are some commenters on the previous stories about this that have as much humanity as a rock. Gosh, everyone - just jump when told to jump no matter what the circumstances and you’ll avoid getting kidnapped and assaulted by corporations. RULES BE RULES, AMIRITE?
Kidnapping: The crime of unlawfully seizing and carrying away a person by force or Fraud, or seizing and detaining a person against his or her will with an intent to carry that person away at a later time.
Apologies. My wife was a special-ed teacher, and that was her term of choice: “diff-abled”, which I adopted. It’s a slippery slope to have a “definition” without stigmatizing.... I appreciate your correction, and will use this info moving forward!
I would urge anyone not living here to stay as far from this shit palace as possible.
Or how about paying a limo service to transport them? Or putting them [GASP!] on another airline? Or telling the desk jockey to get off his ass and drive them? Literally ANY other choice but “lets kidnap and assault a passenger” would have been better.
How was he trespassing if he was a paying customer who was drawn at random to be kidnapped off a flight?
With this administration, I highly doubt any consumer protection legislation has a chance at even being proposed. I think its more likely that the legislation is proposed so that consumers are unable to sue airlines for kidnapping, assault, battery, or any other crime they commit in the name of profit.
I’d take that line of reasoning and ask if “all terms and conditions” includes kidnapping and assault and battery.
They should have refused to take his seat.
I blame them somewhat. What kind of shitty human being would take that guy’s seat after that? I wish I had been there only so I could spend the entire flight berating that employee for causing assault and battery to occur on their behalf.
It doesn’t matter to me if he was a doctor with patients or a guy going on vacation. Taking a paying customers seat via assault and battery is completely 100 percent wrong. I hope this destroys the airline. It won’t, but I will never forget this.
mwahahahah..... oh thats evil :)
