It’s bigotry in the guise of “I don’t see any color” or “I have gay friends” or “all lives matter”. By claming we’re all one and the same, it removes any possible avenue for minority protections, because they refuse to define them.

FYI - Al Qaeda actually split into two factions in Syria, one becoming ISIL the other becoming Jabhat al-Nusra.  They are enemies now. The difference is (I think) the scope of their desires (ISIS/ISIL wants to conquer the world via armaggedon)  Something like that.
