Ugh, it is unfortunately technically correct, no matter how much I hate it...
Both of these professional sports are children’s games. They should be allowed to celebrate. If joy in a game is someone’s problem, that is a reflection on their inability to be happy, not “unproffesionalism” by an athlete. Give me a freaking break with the elderly white sportswriters poo pooing happiness.
I trust my two year old (who draws on her face, assaults her sister, and puts toys in the diaper genie) more than I trust the elected President of the United States.
Amen to that.
AH! I found it

You think he’s a troll? I think he’s just a proselytizer for the CLDS.
We agree on the power of Love, but you keep talking about christian heaven and a christian god. This is where we diverge. I believe that calling love a duty so you can enter heaven completely diminishes it. It’s not a cover fee to eternal happiness.
I completely and wholeheartedly reject the notion of a “creator” or a “design”.
“I stopped believing there was a power of good and a power of evil that were outside us. And I came to believe that good and evil are names for what people do, not for what they are.”
Love.
The miner “shouldn’t have to pay so a single mom can use PBS”, but does have to pay for Barron fucking Trump to live in a golden apartment. This is shit is so fucked up.
Dont get my hopes up, please.
It doesn’t have to be like this. The remainder of the country could rise up. Stop working. Go to the streets. Refuse to cooperate until Trump resigns. It’s all there for us.
Very quick anecdote, somewhat apropos.
Also agree. This was my /s post, as I enjoy playing the vain, hubristic Bostonian on this site b/c I know that’s what the commenters and writers think we all are and it makes me chuckle to promote it
Absolutely right.
Agreed! I sent Keri an email once, and we corresponded for weeks on the topic (I can’t remember, but think it was about Red Sox trade targets). He is very engaging and pleasant.
Not to sound petty, but I honestly think there is a level of jealousy. Simmons is a hacky writer who is an incredible homer. Typically that leads to nothing, but Simmons made it work, and ended calling a lot of his own shots. From his own blog to ESPN, to an offshoot site, to his media group. Maybe not everything…
