As much as I love the Century, the profile seems derivative of the Rolls Phantom/Silver Spirit/Spur.

It’s spark-initialized. Without the spark plug, it doesn’t work, so it’s not compression ignition. It’s spark ignition.

I gotta go along David here. The Ranger or any other affordable small pickup is the only way to go, if only because they’re the perfect backup vehicle. I can’t tell you how many times I wish I had a pickup. If you can get one that runs well for under 2 grand and ain’t a rust bucket, snatch it up!

Many an older aluminumed block have iron sleeves too. Those sleeves often have enough material to bore them once.

I concur. Compared to her dad, she’s a fucking speech writer and orator.

Natalie: “Is it ok to lick my fing...<HAW!>...

Maybe. It’s low-side insurance. And no low-side equals fewer high-sides.

BMW RT (sorry about the caps).

Is that foil hat exact size or one of those one fits all?

OMG, I had completely forgotten about the VW Fox. Why did you have to make me remember it? Why?!

I test drove the 1986 GTI and can assure you that the U.S. build sucked. The paint had severe orange peel and the fit looked more like an ‘81 Fairmont than any German car I can think of. After checking out the CRX Si later, I never looked back.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

Has it been that long since Doug Henning was a thing?

The Nighthawk S was...remarkable. If it weren’t for weak low end, it would have been perfect. You really had to wring that thing out to make it go. Shades of VTec. But, the way it handled! The VFR seemed leaden by comparison. Another great Honda. The 3 bikes I find the most memorable for me were the VFR, Nighthawk and

It was more charming than annoying. I think it was a boxer torque effect - more like a twist than movement. Then again, both ends these days have amazing engineering in the fork and swingarm, so yeah it’s probably long gone. Compared to the super-smooth V4 in the Viffer, it was noticeable. But then, the V4 made any

All the more reason to mount an AA gun in the bed. Might be a little conspicuous though.

Oh, sorry. No, I haven’t ridden the RT yet. Getting test rides in the NY metro area is nigh impossible. I did, however, test ride multiple BMWs at Americade back when they sent reps and bikes in the 90s. I found the RT to be nice, but weird back then. I got a kick out of the Roadster though. That was a great ride. I

OMG those are some sick California roads - going 100 miles to a destination that’s 20 miles as the crow flies? That’s riding!
