That makes sense but I personally think it would be worse. It puts a bright distracting screen in your line of vision when driving. 

That center screen sure looks ugly and distracting. It’s much better when it’s integrated into the dash, what were they thinking here? 

Really? I think they are nearly indistinguishable on the road. Even different models of the same brand are confusing.

It’s technically 2077 era technology with a retro aesthetic. They have computers, flying robots, and laser guns. Hundred plus year old cipher types are kind of silly, though many things in game are.
