I'm really surprised that "…Like Clockwork" didn't make the list.

The environment may have changed, because I remember the PTQs and GPs being a sea of douchiness. It took me a while to find a core of cool people who went to those that I would hang out with, but 9/10 the people I was playing against were complete assholes or mute antisocial kids.

Rage was so good. Much better than that Vampire the Masquerade game the game out.

Yeah, Alliances was really a turning point for the game. They did themselves a real service by creating the blocks of expansions. My favorite times playing were always sealed deck with one of each of the expansions.

Every time I think I'm going to get back into the game, I'm reminded of the times I spent trying to win PTQs and how everyone was super stressed and dickish to everyone else. I sold all of my cards years ago for a small library of RPG books. Aside from how expensive the collector's market has gotten, I think I made

Maron's interview with Mel Brooks was probably the best interview I've heard all year. I really got a sense of where Brooks came from, and gained a new appreciation for his work.

No love for Belly's "Star"? Time to go put on my sad dress.

If you like Riot Grrrl music, you'd probably also like the short films of Sadie Benning. They're hard to find because of copyright issues, but well worth it.

Holy memory lane, Batman!

The album was really amazing, I loved the slow, downbeat songs like Five-O and Everybody Knows.

Suture is criminally under appreciated.

I'm crossing my fingers that Nathan Lane takes the Ed O'Neil/Ian McShane role of soliloquy font.

Gran Turismo is arguably the most underrated album of the 90s.

Wynorski is an interesting case.  Anyone else seen Popatopolis?  The guy clearly has ability as a filmmaker, but he seems way too focused on making trashy movies to make anything better than trashy movies.  In the doc he shoots an entire feature in three days, which is completely crazy to consider.
